If you want to catch walleye, Capt. Ken Clark is your man. On this trip I took my friend Bruce Graumlich, who doesn’t fish, but always wanted to catch a walleye. We were on White Lake, which is a 2,700 acre lake that is connected to Lake Michigan. We started early trying to catch the end of the night bite and pick up a walleye on a husky jerk. We then switched to trolling custom spinners tipped with night crawlers. Bruce had the first fish on, and of course, it’s a 10 lb. brute, not bad for his first walleye. We proceeded to catch a variety of fish consisting of walleye, northern pike, catfish, and sheepshead. Capt. Ken guides on a number of lakes in Michigan, Lake Erie, and also does some ice fishing. The Captain’s equipment is top notch. If I were to recommend you bring equipment, it would be an ultra light rod in case you catch your limit early and wanted to fish for perch. I would definitely recommend families with this Captain and also multi-day trips.
